Vietnam Kayak Rental

There are some great places where kayaking is provided in Vietnam such as Halong Bay, Ba Be lake, Perfumed River in Hue, Nha Trang River…

Halong bay is the most popular place for sea kayaking in Vietnam. The area is recognized as the World Natural Heritage that is the area of 434 sq. km with 775 islands. It looks like a giant triangle with Dau Go Island (in the west), Ba Ham Lake (in the south) and Cong Tay Island (in the east) as its three angle points. The nearby area is the buffer area and areas classified as national beauty spots in 1962 by the Ministry of Culture and Information.

Lan Ha bay which belongs to Cat Ba island is also a great place for sea kayaking.

Kayak rental is available in both Halong bay and Lan Ha bay. Therefore, the kayak should be booked in advance with a Hanoi tour operator. If you go to Halong bay or Cat Ba island without booking a kayak rental in advance, it is possible that all the kayaks will be fully booked by other travelers.

Althrou kayak rental is available in Halong bay and Cat Ba island, we have never recommended our customers to paddle alone in these areas. Because there are thousands of islets and rocks formations where you can be easily get lost. We suggest a guided tour. The tour guide knows the area. He or she knows where to paddle and how to paddle. I don’t mean the technique but the local wave.

In other areas such as Ba Be lake, Hue and Nha Trang, kayak rental is not available. The kayaking tours are only provided with other tour service such as tour guide, transfer, support boat, meals…
