Vietnam Adventure Travel Trekking Sapa and Cruising Kayaking Halong Bay
Three full day trekking in Sapa takes you through local hilltribe villages. Sleep in local house and taste their local dishes. The trekking package is combined with a two-day tour in Halong bay.
Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi.
Upon your arrival at Noi Bai airport in Hanoi, you will be greeted by Lotussia Travel guide and driver then escorted to your hotel in town. Free time at leisure or enjoy a short cyclo excursion through the bustling old quarter streets named after the specific goods once offered for sales at these places. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi city tour. Hanoi – laocai (night train). Overnight on the train.
Breakfast at hotel. Then we will have a full day tour of Vietnam's capital, Hanoi. Hanoi is a unique city with tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and oriental temples. The city tour includes such sights as the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature – The first National University of Vietnam.
In the afternoon, continue to visit the Ethnology museum where you can find the biggest object collection of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups. In the evening, transfer to Hanoi Railways Station for taking the night train to Lao Cai. Departure at around 20h30. Overnight on the train.
Day 3: Arrival in Laocai. Transfer to Sapa. Full day trekking.
Upon your arrival in Lao Cai Railway Station early in the morning, you will be greeted by another Lotussia Travel local guide and driver and transferred uphill to Sapa. Your breakfast will be provided at a local restaurant in town. Then, transfer downhill to Sin Chai village of Black Hmong minority, which locates right at the foot of Hoang Lien mountain range. Here you start heading up the mountain. Once you get to the top, you will trek on a small trail with spectacular view and then gradually descend to Cat Cat village, where you will have lunch nearby a waterfall. In the after noon, you take a trail sneaking through mountain. You also will enjoy spectacular scenery while walking along a narrow river you eventually arrive in Y Linh Ho village of Black Hmong minority, where you can take a rest in a nice spot nearby the beautiful river. You will stay overnight in Y Linh Ho, due to season it can be in local house or in tent camp.
Day 4: Full day trekking.
Today’s trek will continue along Hoang Lien mountain range, which offers you many opportunities to
enjoy view over huge rice paddy terraces in Muong Hoa valley, the largest one in the area. After having lunch at a nice spot, you descend into the bottom of the valley. You will pass through Lao Chai village of Black Hmong minority and then Tavan village of Giay minority by following a very popular trekking route. You spend the night in a traditional house of Giay minority. You will be able to take a walk to enjoy the valley view as well as swim in the river nearby.
Day 5: Full day trekking. Transfer to laocai for night train back to Hanoi. Overnight on the train.
Today’s trek is short, but still the landscape is beautiful. Once you get energy for your last day trek
after having breakfast, you leave for Giang Ta Chai village where you can take a rest nearby a
waterfall to enjoy the surroundings. You will continue trough a bamboo forest, and when you have
passed the forest we find a nice place to enjoy lunch. After lunch the walk continues through a bamboo forest to Giang Ta Chai, a Red Dao ethnic minority village. After taking a rest nearby a waterfall to refresh, you continue on a small trail towards Supan where your car is waiting for the journey back to Sapa, and then to Laocai. Take the night train to Hanoi. Overnight on the train.
Day 6: Arrival in Hanoi. Hanoi – Halong Bay.
Upon your early arrival in Hanoi Railways station, you will be greeted by another Lotussia Travel guide and transferred to a local restaurant for early breakfast. Then depart to Halong. Enjoy the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life.
Arrive in Halong around noon and board the Bai Tho traditional sailing junk (or similar junk). Whilst cruising the exquisite waters sample the regions fresh seafood. Visit the recently discovered Surprise Grotto with its great views, and on the next island see the yawning mouth of Bo Nau Cave. Alternatively journey to Dau Go Cave and nearby see the famous stalagmites and stalactites of Thien Cung Cave. Take a kayaking trip to explore the Bay. Watch the sun set over the bay whilst enjoying a delicious dinner. Overnight on board junk.
Day 7: Halong bay - Hanoi.
Wake up to fresh coffee and a wholesome breakfast before cruising back to Halong City. En route the junk weaves through strange-shaped rock formations that invite comparisons from fighting cocks to dragons. After another wonderful fresh seafood lunch (early) on board disembark at the dock at Halong City at around 11h00am. Transfer back to Hanoi. Free time in the afternoon. In the evening, attend to the water puppet show, one of famous Vietnamese traditional art. Overnight in Ha Noi.
Day 8: Departure. End tour.
Breakfast at hotel. Free time till transfer to the airport for your onward flight back home. End tour.
